| As of today, we official own a piece of Chicago real estate. I think we might be in over our heads.

| Ladies & gentleman, we have a signed contract! Well, technically it's in "attorney review" but boy it's been a long time coming!! We've physically seen probably 45+
condos since November, (plus about 200 more that we browsed/eliminated online) and this is the first that has compelled us
enough to take the next step. You know, it's true when they say
"you'll know when you see IT." Let's hope this is IT. There are few more steps that could have potential hiccups, so, fingers crossed!
| I'm doing what Jen started on her Xanga...
The rules:
1. Pick 10 of your favorite movies. (It was hard for me to only pick 10.)
2. Go to IMDb and find a quote from each movie (or get them out of your capacious memory).
3. Post them on your blog/Facebook notes for everyone to guess.
4. Strike it out when someone guesses correctly in the comments, and put who guessed it and the movie.
5. Looking them up is cheating, please don’t.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1. "My balls just turned to prunes!"
"My balls just turned to raisins!"
2. "No, indeed, my mind was more agreeably engaged. I've been
meditating on the very great pleasure which a pair of fine eyes in the
face of a pretty woman can bestow."
3. "Farm boy, polish my horse's saddle. I want to see my face shining in it by morning." --Jenny T. (Princess Bride)
4. "I'm not an ambi-turner." --Christine T. (Zoolander)
5. "I am a choreographer. That's what I do. You are cheerleaders.
Cheerleaders are dancers who have gone retarded. What you do is a tiny,
pathetic subset of dancing. I will attempt to turn your robotic
routines into poetry, written with the human body. Follow me, or
perish, sweater monkeys."
--Ivan Y. (Bring it On)
6. "But for now, let me say - Without hope or agenda - Just because
it's Christmas - And at Christmas you tell the truth - To me, you are
perfect - And my wasted heart will love you - Until you look like
this..." --Michelle W. (Love Actually)
7. "Now, say you're a bird."
"If you're a bird, I'm a bird." --Michelle W. (The Notebook)
8. "As if!"
--Ivan Y. (Clueless)
9. "You couldn't buy her, though, that's what's killing you, isn't it?
Stef? That's it, Stef. She thinks you're $h*t. And deep down, you know
she's right."
10. "Our city is counting on you to collect those screams. Without
scream, we have no power. Yes, it's dangerous work, and that's why I
need you to be at your best. I need scarers who are confident,
tenacious, tough, intimidating. I need scarers like... like... James P.
Sullivan." --Karen H. (Monsters Inc.)
Bonus: "Do you like this shop? I buy all my clothes here. Good for me, you know. Cheap. Nice fashion."
| "All Grown Up" Back in the day...*swoon* (My first concert, ever.)
18 years later...ashamedly *swoon*
| "Knitting is Knotty" Thanks to Misweet, who lent me my first pair of knitting needles and showed me how to "cast on," knitting is now an obsession. Having been a crocheter since elementary school, knitting always seemed so unapproachable and looked REALLY HARD when my grandma did it. Now that the mystery of knitting is conquered, I can't stop. Be careful all you friends out there, especially ones with kiddos, you just might be showered with random gifts of "needle craft" in the near future. Better yet, all requests are welcome. I'll do my best to accommodate within my abilities. First ever finished project - ruffled scarf
First 2-color project - Smallgroup Secret Santa gift exchange
First non-scarf project - Capelet for sister's Christmas gift First hat - that matched the first scarf
"Mass" produced Christmas gifts for friends
